Humanities Grade

I think I deserve a B for my model. I think I should get a B, because the walls of the Viking castle aren't all even and Summer and I rushed when making it. There isn't much detail or texture on the castle either. I think I did 60% of the work because I decorated, and but together the castle. I also painted most of it.

Life Science Grade

I think I deserve a -A for my organism habitat. I think I deserve this grade because my mice are in a great habitat. The cage they are in allows them run around, and they have a lot of space. Our cage includes all the things to feed and water it, and the mice also have privacy areas in their cage. Our cage is also very clean, and filled with bedding and woodshavings for the mice. The viking castle we built in our cage is great for the mice, because it is made out of wood, which is safe if the mice eat it. I think I did about 55% of the work. Summer and I both helped paint the cage, get the cage ready, buy the bedding, food and furniture for the mice.

Viking Religion

My partner and I are teaching our lesson plan on Viking religion. Below I listed some key points of Viking religion.

Viking Gods/Heaven:
The Viking's worshiped many gods. The king of all there gods was Odin. Odin was the god of wisdom, magic, and many other things. It is said that Odin sacrificed one of his eyes for a drink from the fountain of Memir, a source of hidden wisdom. Odin lived in Valhalla, the Viking heaven. To go to Valhalla after death, you had to have died in battle. In Valhalla, you fought by day, then your wounds healed by nighttime when you dined with Odin. Valhalla was one of the 13 realms of the world. A sacred ash tree spread throughout these 13 realms.
Viking Religion in General: Viking gods were mainly worshiped by a group of priests. Offerings of fruit, treasures, animals and human sacrifices were given to the gods. The gods were usually worshiped underneath sacred trees, wells, or formations of stones. Later on in time, wood structures were used to worship in.
Conversion to Christianity: The vikings ended up converting to Christianity. They came across Christianity through their raids. Many people believed that the Viking's hated Christianity due to their attacks to the Christian churches. This is not true, they were mainly attacked the churches because they were wealthy, and undefended.
