Crocodile Hunter Sklits

Yesterday we preformed skits that were done in the same style as the crocodile hunter's show. The skits had to contain ten facts about our organism. Our group of ten split into two groups and made the skits. In my group for the skit was, Emily, Chandler, Sarah, and Summer. These are the facts on mammals we included in our skit:
1. Mammals are warm blooded
2. They have mammary glands which they use to give milk to their young
3. They have four limbs
5. They all have hair or fur
In our skit sarah and I were the show hosts, Zoe Zebara, and Katie Koala. Chandler was Stevie Werwin the explorer/animal expert and emily and summer were the indian natives in the forests of Australia.

Lesson Plan

For the Zoomanities project, we are required to create and teach a lesson plan to the class about the ancient civilization our terrarium is modeled after. Because I am in the mammals group, I will teach a lesson on Medieval Scandinavia a.k.a the Vikings. Each partner in the groups of 10 will teach a lesson on an element of the civilization, like geography, religion, culture/customs, the connection to our world and architecture. Me and my partner are researching viking religion. So far we have learned that their religion was based on mythology, and they eventually converted to christianity. I will post more about what I learn later.

Zoomanities Project

In class we are currently starting the Zoomanities Project. For this project we are paired with a partner, and with our partner we are put into groups. Each group cares for a different species of animals. For example, Mammals, Reptiles etc. Each partner will care for their organism and research their organism, and its classification. We will also build a terrarium for our organism that contains elements from ancient civilizations like, Medieval Scandinavia (vikings), Charlemagne etc. We will scale down real buildings from our civilization so they fit our organisms.
